Balboa Pre-School

My child enjoys attending school at Balboa Preschool. The teachers are patient and I find that their disciplinary and educational methods are really effective. Also find that the teachers are not so overly strict that it will stifle the child's imagination and development. I would definitely recommend this school.

This school doesn't look like much from the outside, but it has a heart of gold inside! It's a great school for working parents because they are open from 7am to 6pm. You can have a full day or half day. We take our daughter from 8am to noon every day. They serve breakfast at 8:30 for all the kids, and then have school until noon when lunch is served for the all-day kids. For the kids who stay all day, there is nap time after lunch, and then more school time and play time. A few highlights of what they do during the day & week: Calendar time -- learning about the seasons, dates, weather, etc. Exercise & health, eating good foods, staying strong Singing! The kids put on a program at Graduation and at the Christmas Party. Arts & crafts Academics -- letters, numbers, concepts, my daughter is absolutely ready for Kindergarten!
