This was once a terrific K- school that was made up of a diverse socioeconomic student body all of whom valued independent education. It has since affiliated itself with an Episcopal, struggling boarding/day school in Staunton and seems desitned to become a poor man's Woodberry Forest. What a shame.

We have two children attending HMS. I cannot say enough about how happy we have been with the academics and extra curricular programs. The teachers and the staff are top notch and I cannot imagine my children getting a better education anywhere. The tuition cost is tough; however the pay off makes it worthwhile.
