Our child attended this school for two years and it was the worst mistake we have made. It has taken extra effort on our part and teachers at our kid's new school to get her back on par with kids of the same grade. Save your money and do your research....please do your research!
St. Francis School is by far the best in Yuma. The teachers and parents work well together along with the principal and support staff. I have had great experinces with all four of my children who attended St. Francis . They were well prepared for high school and now college from the great foundation that they got at this catholic school. The Library is up to date and now I hear they have 10 new computers that are all Internet connected. The sports program is well organized and provides lots of excitement and school spirit for thoose who participate. The school also has an after school program for extra homework help and Title I students. The best part of all it that it is truly Catholic with Mass once week and Confessions monthly along with celebrations of all the special Feast of the Catholic Church.
I'm so pleased to have my child studying at SF school, the principal, teachers and administration members are very professional.
Having been a student at this school, I will tell you that when I went to public school, I had to take summer school to be at the same academic level as public school students when I was in Kindergarten going to 1st grade. This school in no way sets kids up for anything after their school. Reading, math, science, and other general studies are all lacking. And I can tell you that when I went to public school, I received a much better education than this overpriced sham offered my parents. Save your money and send them somewhere else. Also a lot of the books they use have the answers printed right in them. There is no learning required. All they care about is the weekly donation to the church, or any other money they might collect. Immaculate conception offers a much better school.
