I have just recently transfered to WHS from several other schools, and I believe this is the best school I have ever been to. The teachers actually care, and try to understand you, what you know, & what areas you may need assistance in. The students are friendlier as well, no where near as many drugs, fights, or drama as any of the other schools I have attended. It's actually safe. (Parents with girls: the boys are actually polite! they're souther-type gentleman.) This school showed me the importance of graduation, which I have never planned to graduate untill I moved here. It's a small town, with a great school. WHS is was a life~changing experience for me.

I have 6 children, 3 of which are in this school. There are way too many problems to list. There have been multiple times that I have tried to contact either teachers or administrators, and have had no results. I leave multiple messages and get no return calls. The quailty of teachers is below average. All of my children have struggled in one class or another, and the teachers are unwilling to help them. Overall I am very dissatisfied with this school. We moved to this school district because we were told that it was excellent. Boy, did we learn the hard way! As soon as our oldest 3 graduate, we will be long gone. I do not see the point in paying for sub-standard education. We will move to a school district that values it's students and would like to see them become a productive assett to society.

My kids have enjoyed WHS. The teachers are friendly, although some lack knowledge of their subject area. The math and science departments are excellent, but English classes could be better.

At best this school is average. Concerning parental involvement; they attend sporting events, I am not sure I consider that 'being invovled.' Although my child is considered above average accademically, I don't see her working to her potential nor do I notice teachers expecting her to do so. Spelling and Grammar are NON ISSUES in written work, which I find completely unacceptable. I believe the schools across the US need to get back to the basics and teach our students the essentials and not focus so much on HOW to take tests. If the material they need to know is taught, the test taking will be a breeze.
