You get what you give. You can not expect teachers to do every thing, it starts and has to be reinforced at HOME. My son is a 2006 grad and he graduate with 33 college credits. The more challenging the class the better prepared for College you will be. Parents have to explain this and encourage their child to take challenging classes and Work Hard. Jonathan finished his third Year at College and is well equipped Thanks to Poinciana and all his Teachers but we never expected the school to do it alone. His College GPA is 3.5 and has earned over 97 credits qualifying him for the Smart Grant. We found Poinciana to have a great Academics Program, Outstanding Sports Program and many other fine Programs. Making Poinciana High School a Quality learning environment. The staff is inspiring, hard working and friendly. They work with what we give them
This is the first year for my 10th grade son in Poinciana High School. We moved during the summer to Osceola County from the Dominican Republic. He came from a small private British school in the DR. Even though I originally wanted him to attend Celebration High School he was zoned for Poinciana. So far he has adapted quite well and brings home lots of homework almost every day. He is learning a great deal in his honor and AP classes which is very importand to him and myself. The new principal is doing a great job in improving the school and making it one of the best in Osceola County.

The teachers are very kind and work hard. More parents need to be involved to make this a truly great school.
