Bleckley Middle School provides an excellent learning and social environment for students. The school has very reasonable discipline requirements,which in turn enables serious students the opportunity to learn. Teachers do everything possible to involve parents and help every student succeed. Permissive parents who are not involved with their child's learning and send their students to school with the attitude of 'don't let them do anything to you' do not care for this school.

The comment about discipline problems is clearly out of anger over a personal problem/situation at the school. Bleckley Middle is clearly an above average middle school that excels in some areas and has some of the same problems as every other middle school in the state. As a former student, person with public school teaching experience, and still having inside knowledge about this school, I would recommend it as one of the better middle schools in Middle Georgia.

I, like many other parents in my community, was only too happy when my child finally finished his 8th grade year. This has to be the absolute worst school in Georgia. Even the most minor discipline problems are blown way out of proportion by the principal. The other 3 schools in Bleckley Co. are excellent however, And I would highly recommend them.
