As the parent of three children who all have attended Harrison from grades K-5, I would give the school 8.5 out of ten. The school is populated with students who are in the top percentiles nationally. The parents are generally very involved and the school also does well for children with learning disablities.

The quality of the academic program is excellent, thanks to the principal and the teachers. The teachers are experienced and knowledgable. My son has ADHD and his current teacher has been wonderful. Excellent program for children that need extra help. Also, nice ethnic mix - unlike some of the other geneva schools.

This school is great. Harrison is an older school that has been modernized without losing its traditional feel. It is located in an older part of Geneva that is very well kept. Lots of parent involement here. What I like best is the teacher makeup. There is a good mix of ages, experience and background. The 'cookie cutter' 22 year old teacher is not found here. Several Teachers have a Corporate/Business background. Math is strong but harrison is known for the reading scores it puts up year after year. My son has thrived at Harrison and you could not ask for a better school to start your children off. Dr. Slagel is the Principal and her Teachers are outstanding.

Harrison Elementary has provided a great education for my daughter! The staff is friendly, and the school is in great shape. We have not had any issues with violence (not one!) in three years, and the students there are very happy to be learning.
