This school is amazing! The teachers and staff are dedicated to the well being of the child and the family. When my daughter started kindergarten this year, I had many questions and fears (moreso than she did!). The teachers and staff were so patient and kind in helping to put my concerns to rest, explaining in full detail how and why they do things the way they do. Their commitment to educating our students shows year after year in their high academic scores. I was once considering enrolling my child in private school, but am so glad that I chose to put her in this first class, public school.
I think that the school has really gone downhill. Whether it is due to budget cuts or the decisions on where to make cuts, it has been terrible. Parents are encouraged to volunteer, but then no one ever sets up times and places for them to volunteer. The principal thinks he is important and walks around like he is. Instead of a subsitute when a teacher is out, the class is just divided up and sent to other classrooms for the day, classrooms that are already at their maximum number of students. For this to be an A school, from what I have seen it is all on the great dedication of the teachers and not the administration.

My son has been going to this school for the past three years and I have always thought this school to be one of the best until this year. I really am disappointed on how they hvae changed things this year. We are no longer allowed to eat lunch with our child unless it is on fridays and they don't even allow our children to celebrate their birthdays until the last day of the month and even that has to be done only in the lunch rooms. Theres no extra activites anymore. It's like its not fun anymore. My friends daughter goes to harmony and they do so many things with their students. They have a cooking class on wednesdays, a laid back atmoshpere and they were allowed a party at holiday times. Why is our school so different?
I fell in love with this school last year, because my son had a wonderful teacher. This year his teacher is a complete bully and I have requested a change in class, instead of trying to 'help' my son and I were ambushed by the administration in order to protect their teacher instead of my child. I still love the school, but as long as a parent does not have issues then the school is very polite.
