The administration does everything imaginable to ensure that each and every student applies and is accepted into any college of their choice or helps them with any other decision they make for palns after high school. This school and its entire staff has that personal feel and I am forever grateful to have been apart of this loving family. No doubt about it, I love BTW now and forever will.
There are many people who say that this school is not teaching the students anything and that they are failing our students. Well I was once a student at Booker T. Washington High School. I graduated in 2004. I can honestly say that no teacher at Booker T. Washington High School has ever failed me. I think that this school has caring teachers who will work with you. The entire school body is great. If I could go back in time to and choose a school of choice no questions asked I would definitely come back to this great school. I dont have children yet but hopefully in the future I will. But they will also be Lions always and forever. Words cannot express the way that I feel when it comes to this great school.
I am a 2004 graduate of Booker T. Washington. I was the class salutatorian, homecoming princess, president of the Black Heriatage Club, Z-Club, Key Club, French Club, member of the Lady Lions basketball team (capt.), and I was also selected to attend Girls' State. I was in the Telecommunications magnet program. My experience at Booker T. was a great one. The teachers were wonderful. They were there ready and willing to help students in their time of need. Because of the location of the school, people tend to think that learning does not take place. If you were to attend, you would learn more than at any other school. The coaches not only coach the sport but they teach you life lessons. The teachers are the same way. They teach that learning goes further than high school. I bleed maroon and white! Kristina Smith
