My child is in the upper school of Burlington Day School. It is a good, solid school. The academics and teachers are very good and the atmosphere is very caring. The Head of School-who has been there for about 7 years, has done a great job. Kids are happy there and they learn to like learning. I would highly recommend BDS to anyone looking for a private school in the area.
I have been at BDS for three years and me and my children love it! This school has it all, from nuturing teachers to strong academics. I cannot imagine my children going anywhere else. It's the best school in our community and the staff and headmaster make it all possible!!

I agree with the other posting. This school is wonderful in every area. I love the way they foster relationships between the oldest students with the youngest of students. The older children take pride in their roles while they are helping the little ones with projects, reading stories, etc. It creates a great place to learn not only the academic's, but friendship and kindness.

Fabulous school. Not only are the academics top-notch, the children have music and PE daily. Art, French, and Spanish are offered at all levels. Not only does the principal know everyone's name, but most of the older students do too. At BDS, it's OK to be smart. Academically strong children are challenged, and students who need help get it. Athletic teams are available to all upper school children. Even drama is available. The school website is abominable, though, other than that the teachers keep their own pages well up-to-date.
