I am currently a senior at GHS who has tried to make the best of a bad situation. The three years of education behind me seem to have barely increased my knowledge. There are a few teachers who are worthwhile, but most of those are retiring. When I think about how low our standards are (though they have been increased) compared to those of other schools, I actually feel sick. I have tried to take a rigorous curriculum, though even the more advanced classes fail to truly challenge me. Our few AP courses are well taught, but the teachers who teach them well are, as I said, soon to retire. GHS is a terrible school, and I am glad this is my final year. I can only hope I am as prepared for college as I think I am.
A previous poster's comments perhaps indicate the quality of education offered here. 1) Capitalize the first word in each sentence, especially if that word is 'I'. 2) There are three different spellings of the word pronounced 'there'. a) there: as in 'there are' or 'look over there'; b) their: possessive form, as in 'their spelling is atrocious'; and c) they're: they are, as in 'they are horribly unprepared for college. 3) Conjugate your verbs properly. 'There is so many activities' is incorrect. 4) What is a 'clun'? I assume you mean 'club'. Learn to double check anything you write; any halfway decent college professor won't assume anything about what you've written. Secondly, these website offers a spell check option. Use it.
As a parent I am ashamed to say that my eldest daughter graduated from this school. You can be assured that my younger ones will not attend GHS. The small minded control freaks who destroyed what should be the proudest moment in the lives of five wonderful young ladies for actions over which they had no control shows that these so called 'educators' have no business molding lives.

I attended GHS in the late '90's, and graduated first in my class. I can say, without a doubt, that this school was quite pathetic. The good and great teachers were vastly outnumbered by those that were absolutely worthless. The school facilities were fair. Class offerings were barely more than minimal. Activities, as usual, were dominated by petty social politics and focused on non-value added initiatives. School safety at the time was marginal. However, I assume this is the case in most places. Furthermore, circumstances in G-burg are quite dismal at the moment. For this reason, I fully expect the quality level of this school to deteriorate further.
