Cloverdale is an outstanding fit for our family. Our children began attending the school as three-year-olds; they'll be in second grade and kindergarten this fall. Our second grader thrives in the structured, academically focused, loving environment. She's a spirited child, but Cloverdale has truly supplemented our efforts at home to teach respect, self-control and a love of learning. She has blossomed over her years at Cloverdale and performs well above grade level in reading and math, which we attribute to the small class size, personal attention and effective teaching methods. The half-day kindergarten program is very focused, and the small reading groups offer a great deal of individual attention. My rising kindergartner is already reading in large part because of the preschool program's focus on phonics. There is very little staff turnover; many of the teachers have 10-25 years of both private/public school experience. The Cloverdale community is our extended family.
I can not say enough about the kindergarten program here at Cloverdale! The staff are wonderful! The curriculum is great! My daughter actually wants to go to school everyday. I have enjoyed this school so much, my child will be attending for 1st and 2nd grade. I only wish I sent her here for preschool! THANK YOU

We chose to enroll our son in the half-day kindergarten program because we felt a full day program was too long. We couldn't be happier with our decision. He's truly excelled thanks in most part to the small class size and the excellent teaching staff. I'd recommend the kindergarten program to anyone.

I have had two kids attend this preschool. It is fine for a mom's day out program, but is not a developmentally appropriate school for preschoolers. Teachers we have had are generally very kind and loving, and the families there are very nice, but there is too much time spent sitting down doing worksheets and too little art/center time. The music program and German classes offered are good, but art, PE, creativity and gross motor development areas are very limited. We will try to send my preschooler to another school next year that is closer to NAEYC guidelines for educating preschoolers.
