I am a parent of two students, one a recent graduate and one currently at Thayer. Both my children have thrived at Thayer. They have been involved in sports, music and student government. The teachers are amazing! They truly care about each student and are in contact with the parents if there are any issues. The headmaster of the Upper School is one of the most fantastic people it has ever been my pleasure to know! Students who have graduated are constantly coming back to pay him a visit. He makes it a point to keep in touch with them after they have graduated and he cares deeply about every student past and present. Thayer seems more like a family than a school! It has been a struggle financially for our family, but it is worth it!
Thayer Academy Middle School is great!. The teachers really get to know the students well since classes are small. The curriculum is challenging but but not unreasonable. It is a very welcoming and secure environment.

Sending our daughter to Thayer Academy was the best decision and investment we have ever made. She is a junior and entered as a freshman. She has thrived and accomplished beyond our expectations. She is very involved in the drama and music programs. These have enabled her to build her confidence and self esteem. The faculty at Thayer is incredible. We are of upper middle income and our daughter has felt very comfortable amoung the 'upper class'. At no time has anybody made her feel beneath them. She has been embraced by her peers. Not to mention meeting wonderful friends and families. It has been a wonderful life experience for her and has opened many doors for her that, I feel, public schools could not have.

Hello parents searching for a school, I am a recent graduate of Thayer and can assure you it is a safe decision for your child. I currently attend a small-ivy league school and play hockey. I played three sports and participated in many clubs at Thayer. Thayer is a high school, and like any high school there are cool kids and nerds, however, my experience was that most everyone thrived. When time comes for me to send my children to school. My alma mater will be at the top of the list.
