Worst school in Freeport? On its worst day, Carl Sandburg is better than FJHS on its best. Great teachers, outstanding administration and a positive, supportive discipline structure aren't enough to overcome the myriad problems of the students whom District 145 serves, but I challenge anyone else to do better. The interweaving of discipline with counseling and social work, intended to help students make better choices day to day, is a model that other schools should follow. My guess is that the lack of windows was a tornado safety feature. But it does make the interior classrooms pretty awful to be in. In a couple of years, both Sandburg and FJHS will become 5-8 middle schools serving their respective parts of town. I'll bet that the cultures of the two schools will remain exactly the same, and that Sandburg will unavoidably become the 'good middle school' and FJHS the 'bad middle school.'
Great School better then christian school because lets kids be them self instead of what people want them to be!
i think this school is an ok school but behavior is not the best and disipline is horrible teachers are nice but the school is crowded and is un organized so if you don't like the stuff i listed above it's not he school for your kids
I had some good memores at this school. I miss every one of my teachers. It is one of the best schools in Freeport.
