I attended Burlington High School for my freshman year, then went to Catholic Central. The classes at Catholic Central are super easy, and the teachers while nice, do not teach much. Catholic Central does not offer a ton of higher level classes. I went back to Burlington High School for my senior year so I could be challenged and taught by better teachers so I could be ready for college.
First, the school only has 142 students. Secondly, it is primarily a sports academy. Finally, the teachers are second rate at best. The students perform well because they generally come from high performing families. Certainly not worth the money. Burlington has great schools

As a student at Catholic Central, I very seldom feel challenged to learn. I feel like most of the homework I get is mindless busywork and I could much rather be wasting my time doing something that might actually teach me something. I also feel as though the school's main focus isn't on the academics, but sports. Throughout my high school career, I felt as though the English courses I've been in are nothing more than glorified study halls. The only courses that I feel are worthwhile were the history courses, (taught by Dr. Gardiner and Mr. Willems,) and Mrs. Harford's Biology classes. On a positive note, the sense of family and community at Catholic Central is very strong. Everyone knows everyone and for the most parts is friendly with them. Overall I'd say that Catholic Central is an okay school but there is MUCH that could be improved on.

Southern Wisconsin's BEST KEPT SECRET! Things MUST have changed since the first reviewer attended CCHS! The education is far superior to any of our local public schools. The of the sports programs have earned state titles in recent/current years. And, most importantly, there is a strong sense of community for a school that draws from a twenty mile radius. I highly recommend a visit to CCHS...you will be impressed.
