My older son completed K here last year and this year he is attending 1st and his little brother is attending K. We have been nothing but pleased with the Leadership and Staff. Professional, caring, and on top of things. Homework is a daily occurence except on Fridays. My wife and I are comforted in knowing that our Sons are being challenged and cared for well - and my boys come home happy every day.

My granddaughter goes here. She did well in Kindergarten but I don't think they push the kids soon enough to learn to read.

Your experience at AT Levy will vary greatly, depending on who your child's teacher is. I have heard teachers yelling at students and I have heard classes singing educational songs as they make their way to lunch. Unfortunately, there are many teachers who have been teaching too long and no longer have the desire to do a good job, waiting to collect their pensions. The secretaries and others at the school will quickly learn who you are if you are at all active with the school and you will always be warmly greeted. If you get the right teachers, your child will excel. The lack of a gifted program is unfortunate and the services for special education I have found to be OK other parents rave about them. They are also very strict about noise control in the cafeteria, telling the kids not to talk, which I wasn t a big fan of. The teachers union is a problem here, just like everywhere else.
