I rate this school a 5 star. It is very small school where all the people know one another and although principals have changed it doesn't seem as relaxed there and friendly but I still feel they have the children's best interest at the front of the line! I love having the spanish program there and a preschool also now!

Overall, a good school. I like that it is a smaller school approx. 230 students. They combine grades in 1st & 2nd also in 3rd & 4th. For the most part the teachers are caring and well educated. We only had one rough year with a teacher that I feel decides her own rules and disregards the parent's concerns. It is a tight knit community, so people know each other and have their bonds. So if there are issues, you need to follow the 'chain of command' and be persistant for someone to listen and act accordingly.

My child is in 3rd grade at grant's lick elementary. I cannot praise this school enough. The teachers and principal are into their students 100%. The school has a major focus on reading which is essential. The school is very small (our community is relatively small) and it seems like all the parents know each other as well as knowing the teachers. There is great participation in the PTA-meetings are always packed. The fundraisers get great results. Students and their education are their number one priority and it shows!
