Team approach is only as good as its strongest member...fortunately my child had a decent team. Unequal educational opportunities exist if the advanced class isn't offered on your child's team -- 'no cross-teaming' seems to be the directive from administration to the detriment of the talented students on the wrong team. Course offerings were very limited (Spanish only language offered) and PE was only available one semester/year. Very limited means of excellerating a capable student's learning as things stood this past school year ('07-'08). With the money spent on students, my expectations were much higher than what we realized in terms of what the student rec'd.

Academic programs at CMS are good but not adequately challenging for advanced students. School atmosphere, however, is cliquish and excludes many students.
