I used to be a teacher at Excelsior and, I must admit, it IS not a stellar school. I will admit that the curriculum and school discipline does not seem to promote a healthy, positive environment for students' future. I will say that I believe the administration perhaps has good intentions, but the school needs to follow in the direction of hiring highly qualified teachers, along with promoting student independence.

Excelsior is a great school that teaches children socially, mentally and physically. It has small classroom sizes and it has a biblical class that children of all ages are taught. I recommend this school to any child. The teachers are highly qualified and are wonderful role models for children and treat them with the highest level of respect.

I heard positive things about Excelsior but within the past two years Excelsior has went down extremely and that caused the enrollment to drop. My child went to Excelsior from 3-5 grades and then I moved her to a public school she was so far behind, and her grades dropped tremendously. But, while at Excelsior she made a 3.8 or 4.0 every semester so I truly feel that Excelsior is all about the money and not the child.

Excelsior is a great school. It provided academic as well as biblical instruction. My son attended Excelsior from Pre-k through 2nd grade and we never had any discipline or behavioral issues simply because of the atmosphere at the school. Many of the things that go on in public school such as behavior problems, overcrowding, disrespect, etc. is not found at Excelsior. The tuition is surprisingly very affordable for most families. I would hightly recommend this school for families that set academic and Biblical values for their children as a high priority.
