Rosewood School

My children and I have spent 8 years (total) at Rosewood and absolutely love the school. My youngest daughter leaves this year to enter the Junior High and I will miss Rosewood. The Open Classroom design of the building is the best I have ever seen. It allows for easy and uninterupted 'flow' of staff and students. The principal, teachers and parent club are all amazing, promoting the relationship between school and home. Rosewood is very similar to private schools with high academic scores, gifted programs, an excellent music program and of course a talented and truly caring staff.

We have three boys that have and currently are, attending this awesome elementary school. We have been so supported by the principal, teachers and parents at this school over the last 9 years. The academic programs are excellent. We had one of our children in the gifted program and have nothing but wonderful things to say about that program. We also have one of our children in the special education program and we have had great support there too. We also have a diabetic child and have felt that the school personnel were very much willing to be a team player in that area as well. For theses reasons, I feel that we have a well rounded experience with this school and the wonderful staff there. We HIGHLY recommend Rosewood elementary school for anyone moving into or currently in the Ottawa County of Michigan.

There is a strong parent's club and an even stronger music program. The Jenison School District is a Grammy Signature district and one of the highest rated in the nation. Orchestrical music starts in the 5th grade; choir programs exist all through elementary levels. Advanced placement for students exists in several subjects, including math and reading.
