My son's teacher is really nice. She really cares about the students & goes the extra to help. The school altogether is great. Everyone is so helpful if you have a question or a concern.

Walnut Grove is a very safe, kind, wonderful school. The staff is excellent. They're very careful with the children and take great care to be sure each of them are getting on the correct busses after school. For the children being picked up after school, there are PTA members and staff walking the kids to their parents cars. My daughter just got out of first grade. Toward the end of first grade, she was reading chapter books. She reads every, single day and most kids throw fits when they have to stop watching TV, mine gets upset when she has to stop reading. Walnut Grove gave her the tools to learn to read and she absolutely loves it. She loves school I was going to transfer to a school nearer to my work in Portland, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. It's too wonderful of a school.

We moved to the Walnut Grove area 3 years ago. Between my 2 children we have experienced 1st to 5th grades there. The teachers have all been devoted to my children's success! Communication between school and home is good and the family participation activities really make us feel part of the community. Wonderful!
