I am confused by this parent review. After reading it thoroughly I began to see the vindictiveness in this review. It was also apparent that not enough homework was done by the parent prior to enrolling their children in the school. I did research the curriculum and the school prior to enrolling my children and I am extremely pleased with the results. My son was two years behind his grade level in Math and English when he began at Azalea and graduated on time because he was able to catch up to his grade level. I have never heard of any student repeating a grade after leaving Azalea and my children and I have been around the school for years. My children, who still currently attend and who have graduated and are in college and their friends who are also in college have not had to take special classes . The bottom line for me is you have to research the curriculum and the school prior to enrolling your child. This school and curriculum are not for everyone and as a parent, you have to be involved in your child s academic life and not expect that because you are paying for a private school education you can drop your child at the door and the school will fix them. Making baseless, vindictive comments on an anonymous website is not reflective of someone who values a Christian education for their children either.

I graduated from AGCS and I thank God forthe values and lessons I learned there. I am currently employed by a local daycare center as an asst. director. I have not had to take any special courses to excel.. I think they pace system is excellent and the teachers there do help you to make sure you know the subject before you go on. when I have children they too will attend AGCS .

I agree that this school is only meant for those who are going to push themselves to learn. Some students are better off at a regular school where there are traditional classrooms. AGCS is definitely has a more 'teach yourself' learning process and is your kids are not up to this then they are better off somewhere else. As for graduates taking 'special courses' you have to understand that some of these graduates may have been better off in a regular schools and did not care for their studies very much. I am a graduate of AGCS and I got accepted into normal 4-year colleges (including UM:College Park and I have yet to take any 'special courses'. You should really consider if your child is up to the task of having to teach themselves before enrolling them at AGCS.

My two children attended the school we were happy with the religious teaching however their education was lacking. They were A honor students but as the work got difficult sense the teachers do not really teach they were not of help. They blamed our kids for not getting it and were rude and dismissed us as parents for expressing concern. We pulled our children put them in public school only to find our A honor students were 2 grades below in their learning levels. I found out later that this was quite common at this school and why many of the children didn't leave as parents found out their children would have to repeat grades. Graduates spoke to me of having to take special courses at community college cause they could not test out. Be very careful when sending your children here.
