Probably the best school that you could send your child to. It's hard, but in the end its worth it. Magnet feels like family, a weird family, but a family nonetheless. Things go on in this school that would probably never happen at other schools. Eventhough the work can be a HUGE pain, I love the atmosphere of the school and I feel prepared for college.
Quite simply, the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would not be the person I am today without the help of the school and the students and faculty within it.
As a former student, this is a really great school to be at. At the time I may have thought differently (*smiles*) , but I actually miss the great atmoshere. You'll make friends real easy and not just with your graduating class. Teachers are great and willing to help in any way they can. Sports and numerous clubs are also great and look real good to colleges/unviersities. I completely recommend the Magnet, as long as you're willing to commit to the work. As a graduate and four year survivor of the Magnet, I enjoyed every single moment spent there and miss it dearly. One forms personal relationships with the teachers and staff, which results in a richer learning environment. I had a wonderful experience at AMHS, and it is a fantastic school.
