I am a teacher at Heritage as well as a parent, so I view Heritage from two perspectives. I believe that our school measures up very well in comparison to other schools of its size, when it comes to course options. Our sports programs are not as strong as others, but if I had to choose between strong academic programs or sports, I would choose academics. Both would be great, but in a small school, it takes time to acheive that goal. Parent involvement is okay, but could be improved. Many times parent who are involved are the parents whose kids are doing well academically and behaviorally. I would like to see more parents of students who are off track and in danger of failing.
