My daughter has now been at Conway for two years (1st and 2nd grades). Although I believe that the student teacher interaction could be better, she has excelled in her academics. Conway may not have a high great schools rating but in my book the school is good enough for me. Besides it's not completely up to the school to make sure the student is learning. The parents need to stay involved and make sure both student and teacher are doing their jobs. If more parents took an interest in their childs education then maybe Conway would have a better rating.

My son transferred to Conway in Oct' 07, while in first grade on grade level, and left four months later below grade level. I had conferences with his teacher, who explained to me that no additional help is given to the students struggling in class. Basically, the teachers move on with the lessons, and those who are behind continue to struggle. The teacher told me my son had behaviour issues, which he had never had before in his former school. I asked for information to help him at home, none was ever sent home, but always promised to me. Once at his new school, they tested him for appropriate class, and got him at grade level in reading and math. Plus, he had to go to summer school. Now, he is above grade level. And no behavior issues!
