Battle Hill is an excellent elementary school. The principal is warm and welcoming and the staff is great! Last year 2006/2007 was my son's first year at Battle Hill(third grade) and it was a wonderful experience for my family. I have never, ever seen an elementary school so well put together. The school is always neat and clean. My son was also in a reading program that helped him tremendously with his reading comprehension. The kids even get to learn how to play musical instruments..how cool is that! I also like the fact that Battle Hill's after/before school program (The 'Y') comes into the school instead of the kids leaving. Battle Hill has an excellent academic program teaching children everything they need to know in order to move on to the next grade. My son's teacher, Mrs. Dellano was outstanding, I could not have asked for a better teacher.
I think Battlehill offers the students alot. The PTA is great. The kids get a ton of extras and they encourage parents to be a part of their children's school experience. I can not believe the things my son has learned so far in Kindergarten. It is amazing. This school offers the kids alot!
