Ok, I love my alma mater, but laving there to go to one of the best public universities in the US made me feel like I was ill prepared. They simply need more AP classes and need to focus more on college prep. My valedictorian's ACT score is the AVERAGE score at my university. I will go on to say that there is a feel of 'laid-backness' throughout the school that made my freshman yr at my university difficult academically. I felt as if I did nothing really productive my years there when I compare it to the real world. So, if your kids want to stay in MS/ the south for the rest of their lives, I recommend this school. If they want to work in a big city, go somewhere else.
I think that Hernando High School needs more college prep classes and that the administration should worry more about college acceptance letters than the length of a skirt.

Administration at Hernando is horrible. Great faculty if the principals would let them do their jobs. Female sports such as softball at HHS are neglected yet they have the most winning record at the school. Something that could help HHS is getting new administrators in to take care of the business!
