Mokapu Elementary School

As a military family, we believe that smooth transitions are important. Mokapu Elem. has proven to excel beyond our expectations. My son has received nothing less than a great education. The staff is supportive and the administration has always been able to provide ample guidance. We are so blessed to be a part of the Mokapu Family. The true meaning of Aloha is felt through out the school . I even looked up standards of other states, to make sure my son was working on the same materials as students on the mainland. I was pleased to that my son is learning the same material as those on the mainland.

The beginning of my son's education is off to a terrific start. The transition into kindergarten has been wonderful. Mokapu begins kindergarten with a kinder camp in the summer, a chance to meet with the teacher (during which time the teacher assesses the student), and a few days with just half of the class before bringing everyone together. This gave my son a chance to ease into his classroom and get used to the expectations of Kindergarten. As an educator myself, I have been very pleased with the care and concern the teachers, administrators, and staff members have given my son. I couldn't have hoped for a better teacher and a better beginning to a life-long of learning. Thank you Mokapu Elementary School for everything you do.

Wonderful school. Excellent Sped. Program. Superb teachers, administration and support staff. Loved my three years there.
