I recently enrolled my child in Mayflower Preschool. I have worked in the Early Childhood field as a Teacher & Center Director for close to 10 years. I was extremely impressed with the entire school! The Teachers are professional, loving and welcoming, the ratio of Teacher to Child is fabulous, the playground is AMAZING, and the Director is helpful and knowledgeable. It felt like a little Country school with all the kids carrying buckets! So cute! They really made her day special!Mostly I was excited to see that my daughter had such a great day, after having a negative experience at another school! They really made her day special! She even walked in the next day and was excited! I know she is being very well taken care of and is having A LOT of fun!
Hi, I am a former teacher at Mayflower Preschool-I worked there a few years ago and have done some substitute work there recently. I was pretty shocked by the changes that took place a year ago, I can only imagine how it affected the former staff. Preschools are a home away from home for the children, parents and staff. I hope the former staff have found some peace and are happy in their situations. Having said that, sometimes changes take place in business and we may never understand. Mayflower Preschool has moved on and changed, but in many ways is carrying on and is respectful of the Mayflower tradition. I believe it is a place where you can leave your child in the hands of people who are qualified, very caring and have your childs best interest in mind. These ladies love and enjoy the kids.( P.S. I'm pretty picky)
Once the chruch and new management took over this preschool, my children and I had horrible expreiences. The director and minister were defensive, would not address parents or answer simple questions, and the love for the children, families and community, that existed at Mayflower Preschool for generations seems to have gone.
