Alexander is a very small school district who now has their entire pre-school through 12th grades in one large school in Albany. (Located where the Alexander High school is) They no longer have their elementary, middle school, and Jr. high school, spread out all over south-eastern Ohio, which, I can say from experience was not a good idea. Very difficult to deal with when your child goes to a school 45 minutes away from your house. Not a fun bus ride for the child either! The academic level was what I would call fair. It was your usual run-of-the-mill small country town school. Nothing special about it really. Sports was always a big part of the school. In my opinion, its no different with sports than any other small ohio school. The level of parent involvement makes sports a huge thing in Alexander as in many other Ohio schools.

I feel as though the school's dress code is to strict. I also think that before making a dress code you should ask the parents what they think about. The parents buy the clothing for the children not the school. The talk about the uniforms next year... Can't happen it's a public school they can't make your child wear a uniform it has to be a private school. Alexander is just being this was because it's new facility.

Alexander is a good school, but I greatly dislike their decision to combine the middle school, elementary, and highschool into one. By doing so they are forcing our highschool students to become role models for the younger children, whether they want to be or not. I feel as if it has taken away my right, and the right of my peers to be an individual and express ourselves in the manner in which we should be able. We could also use more electives, I do not feel as if the electives we have now really broaden our intelligance or help us to become well rounded individuals. I feel as if the students here need to know, and do more.

this school really helps your children get involved not only in the class room but out side of school with sports and other things and every body there are so friendly!
