I have to say, since my kids started going to this school almost 2 yrs ago,i have had nothing but Problems, from the teachers,Principal, and bus drivers. The parents are not involved enough, they treat the primary students like, they are in bootcamp,I have had so many people i have never met before, tell me how bad it is,and i agree 100%.They are just kids, and they the teachers n such exspect, way to much from these kids.something has got to change!!This is the worst school system i have ever seen.

I would like to respond to the review left in November 2003. Yes, the school building is old; it was originally the Pymatuning Valley high school years ago. The district is currently in the process of building a new building for the elementary children and conpletely remodeling the current high school. The exsisting elementary school will no longer be used by the school. Along with these improvements, they are also building a state-of-the-art music concert facility, which will be attached to the high school. As far as the quality of the special education program; I disagree that it is poor. The school does the best it can with the little funding provided. The special education program is supposed to be on a rotating basis, rotating to different schools in the county. The program has not rotated out of PV however for as long as I have lived here because other schools either do not have the room or the ability to undertake this challenge. I graduated from PV with 3 young adults who were not supposed to make it past the third grade. One of them has even earned her masters degree in education. She accredits much of her success to the top notch teaching at PV. She was never seen as another statistic and the teachers did not give up on her.

This school is old and worn-down. My experience at this school as compared to the other schools that I have been to is extremely negative. Many other schools have more extracurricular activities and are just more focused on education. The special education program at Pymatuning Valley Schools is extremely detrimental.
