My daughter attends high school East and is a Junior. The teachers are very attentive, excellent, approachable and available. The atomosphere encourages students to develop their gifts and talents. There are many activities and something for everyone. It is a very positive learning environment.

There's lots of good that goes on at East. When I compare notes with other parents who have children at other Toms River High Schools, it seems they are all envious of the programs and overall situation of safety found at TRHSE.

I am weeks away from graduation and I stumbled onto this website. Toms River East was definetly an experience but I would rather not send my children here. Many people may like this school but as a student I haven't had the best experience. The teachers do help but not to quality and the parents do not attend any events. The principal is very hypocritical, she bans flip-flops, short skirts and also tank tops. I have seen her wear many of these and still punish us for it. The extracurricular activities are excellent. There are many to choose from.

Both of my children attended East and as a result both went on to College and did quite well. East is an excellent school with an excellent faculty. However, more and more people from North Jersey and NY are moving into this area and this will no doubt have an adverse affect on this school in the future..Too bad
