We are so glad to have found the Village Preschool! I am a teacher and was underwhelmed/disappointed in most of the preschool offerings in the Danbury, CT area. Then a neighbor let me know about VPS. The best thing about it is that they have actual teachers who have higher ed degrees in Early Childhood, Music Ed, etc. The first half of the day is 'kid-driven' meaning the children can travel from the art room to the music room to the main playroom (teachers are in place ready to help in all places) as they please and see what excites them. Latter half of the day is more structured - 20 min blocks, little groups of 5-6 kids- Art, Music, PE, Fine motor work, every Day! We love this school. They are caring and nurturing, and they know how kids learn!
They have it all! Great teachers who are fun, engaged and love children. The facilities are tops! The kids do art & music every day and there's a gym for when they can't go out.
