Paradox Valley School combines the detachment and serenity of its gorgeous rural agricultural setting, with totally now and with-it technologies and know-how of our current culture and cutting-edge knowledge. The teachers are so multi-talented and full of good energy, bringing the arts, literary skills, Nature studies, science, math, and physical activity together enjoyably without separated 'ologies'. They inspire the students to excell on their own paths as well as in teams-- like taking the school blue-grass music group to perform in Washington DC! Parents join in writing grants to fund such exciting projects as after-school organic gardening, in which the students get not only fresh air and exercise but also some powerful nutritional knowledge and saleable skills for their future. This school has made a deep and positive impact on our small community.
PVS is one of the best schools that my children have attended. I was pleased with how they performed in the school and how the teachers were unified in education and they allowed the children to excel in areas they knew well and encouraged them to work on their struggling areas with a positive attitude. I thank all the teachers and office staff for their diligent efforts in working with the students. I do so wish that we had a school like that up where we live now. There is no comparison and PVS you should be proud of yourselves and your accomplishments with the students. Thank you J& B Brown

I just finished reading all the reviews. The only thing I have to say to the last review about 'Send your child to Telluride' is, does the 'Top 2%' academically mean anything? My three children started at Paradox in 2000. This is by far the best school that my children have gone to. The one on one has helped them tremendously. The multi age classrooms have helped them realize that they are equal and can look to their classmates for extra help. Two of my children were below grade level when they started Paradox. Between the diligence of the teachers at school and parental involvement at home they have surpassed their grade level and then some. I am very pleased with the education level of Paradox as well as the arts. It takes a village to raise a child. This little school proves that. Way to go Paradox Valley!
