This is my daughters first year at MHS. Being a little nervous with the schools reputation, I had my concerns. MHS . In the 2 months my daughter has been attending. I find the teachers and the staff there have been fantastic. My daughter an A student loves it there. Quite a bit of homework, but she loves it there. Since the new building has been completed the teachers and students seem to be walking around with a renewed sense of pride. So far, I feel we made the correct decision. I will update this review in 2 months.
I went to MHS for 2 years and, though the teachers are wonderful, the school seems like it is more for 'at risk' students, and entirely too easy for anyone with higher motivation and capabilities. Granted, the school does offer a few more challenging courses, they just don't seem challenging enough for the rest of the students who have higher expectations.
The academic and extracurricular offerings at MHS are steadily improving.The school is headed in the right direction.
