With all of the transitioning military familys this school is wonderfull its staff is great the education is also wonderfull.
I have substituted at every elementary school in lower Key West, including Sugarloaf Elementary. I believe that Sigsbee Elementary has some of the most dedicated teachers in Florida. I am very pleased that all of my children attend and enjoy Sigsbee!

My children were at Sigsbee for two years and were able to transition to a very challenging private school in New England with no difficulty. The staff at Sigsbee work hard to keep students on track with the new Florida standards. There are some excellent teachers. There is a high turnover of students and staff because many staff and most students are from the military community. Students are at many learning levels within the classroom, which makes teaching challenging. Qualified students are bused once a week to an excellent full day gifted program at another school. While not thrilled with their regular classroom experience, my children felt safe and accepted at Sigsbee and did stay on track academically.

Well all I want to say is that the school and the staff are fantastic! I used to work there as you all reading this will know me. The staff works to preform the best standards for the children and they care about them to. The quality of academics is good and the availability for Art, sports and other activities is high on their list. Parents are the greatest there and are a big asset to the school.
