The staff is excellant on every level.The teachers work with their students by constantly pushing them to do more and do their best.
We have been at Elk Meadow for four years now. We really like Tim Comfort, the principal and Teri Friesen, Vice Principal. We think they do a great job at this school. We like the diversity of this school. The only complaints I have is that the academics seem a little behind. I have one child that goes to another elementary school here in Bend and there is a big difference in what is taught and how they advance the kids. I would highly recommend that Elk Meadow step up there academics to those children that are ready and willing so that these kids don't get bored and lose interest. I also would love to see the teachers more willing to accept parent volunteers. I think because in the past, not a lot of parents volunteered here at Elk Meadow, the staff got used to this. They need to adjust.
