Key West High School

This is a great school with many excellent opportunities for students. It is what you make of it. Students strrive for personal achievment and there is a great deal of ecellent classes available along with the opportunity for college courses as well as AP. Teachers are very good, administrators are very good, and the principal is the best. 85% of students go on to college or other post secondary institutions.

My daughter was quite upset about moving from Michigan, but now that she is here she wouldn't trade it for the world! Everyone at this school is kind and helpful. We both love Key West High School.

I go to key west high school now && I love it! all the principals work hard to keep students from dropping out. We barely have any problems with fights. The teachers could be better but a lot of students that graduate from here get excepted into major colleges I love key west high school! go conchs!

My child attended KWHS in 2006-2007 and unfortunately it was not a very pleasant experience. We found the curriculum to be less than challenging.The classes were very unorganized, the students, not all, but many were disruptive. Another huge concern was the amount of class time spent on the FCAT. Weeks of class time are dedicated to this. My daughter received all A's and a few B's with almost no effort. The previous school year 2005-2006 the school lost teachers because it is impossible to live in or around Key West on a teachers salary. So, although Key West has a beautiful school it needs a great deal of work.
