My children have attended Summit Christian for the past four years. While Summit has its share of struggles, it is an excellent school. If parents want to be involved and to contribute, there are always plenty of opportunities. Communication from teachers and administrators is good, although it can be improved. I see a continuing effort to improve instruction and organization, as well as many improvements to extracurricular areas. I am pleased that I transferrred my children here four years ago, and would recommend Summit Christian to anyone who seeks a truly Christian environment for their children.

My children attended Summit for 6 years. They were both very good students at Summit - one of them even made straight A's for the 4 years she attended. When I moved them into Broken Arrow schools, both were severly behind. My 'straight A' student even struggled in BA and made B's & C's this last year. Neither of my children were prepared for public school; both struggled all year and had to have a lot of tutoring to keep their heads above water. I was extremely disappointed that we were told by the prinicpal at Summit that Summit students were 1-2 years ahead of public. This is simply untrue. During our time at Summit I spoke with the female principal a few times about my concerns with the level of education at Summit. Everytime she assured me that they were ahead of public school. Again-this was not true!

My 3 kids have gone to Summit for the past 8 years. We love the small school atmosphere and freedom to learn and talk about Christ daily! The elementary program is very strong. The teachers work hard to keep in close communication with the parents. The teachers and administration work closely with and support one another. The middle school and high school is still growing and adjusting, so each year seems to need tweaking. In contrast to one of these reviews, Summit does NOT just take anyone. No, the school is not perfect. They have their share of worldly issues, it's how they are able to handle them that makes them different. They focus on Christ as the solution and constantly pray for God's direction for each child.

I have one child going into the 10th grade and another going into the 4th grade, both have gone to Summit since Pre-school w/ SMLC . Every school year on the first day of school I leave with an amazing feeling, confident that my children are in a wonderful, safe place. The school is not perfect by far, none are. I do wish that they would get more expierienced high school teachers, but I have seen other schools and the few drawbacks far outway any negative aspects. I believe that w/ the enhancements of their sports program over the last few years, it has brought them to a level where they can get an excellent education in a good Christian environment but still give them the benifits that I believe strong sports and social programs bring to a school.
