This School is FANTASTIC! The Principal is hands on and the environment is very caring and welcoming. There is a new group of parents from Forest Hills, Little Forest Hills and Casa Linda who have decided to send their kids to Sanger and they have formed a Early Childhood PTA. This group will be instrumental in shaping the future of Alex Sanger! Sanger just received a grant to build a learning garden and it will be up and running in 2010. The more the neighborhood gets behind this school the better it will be! This is a wonderful place and it has the potential to be the one of the premier elementary schools in Dallas!

We have really enjoyed our first 3 weeks at Sanger. We're just in Kindergarten, but our child loves it. His teacher is really fantastic. The classes are small, which is great. I see the principal all the time and they have a great policy of being open to parents for lunch with your child, etc. They even have grandparents day tomorrow which my mom said she has never had with my nieces and nephews in far north Dallas. And we love the diversity of the students. Looking forward to the rest of the year and more.

You have to put in if you want to get out, parents! I completely disagree with the Sept. 5th review. These teachers and this principal are obviously working very hard to make sure that all the students at Sanger succeed. Our experience has been fantastic. I passed Dr. Allen nearly everyday the first week and he was smiling and friendly. Our son's teacher has gone out of her way to give me feedback on my son, and even positive feedback on his day my friend when she picked him up from school. The Real Gardens program is exciting, the dual language program is something that is going to be a true advantage and there are some great parents who are ready to make a positive impact where they can. We are very proud and feel so lucky to be at Sanger!

I'm very surprised by the Sept. 5th review. My experience so far has been great. The principle was outside every day the first week of school during the children pick up time greeting students and parents. He's been available in the office when I've been in. My daughter's teacher is wonderful and my very shy and reserved girl opened up by day 3 due to the welcoming and friendly atmosphere of the school. She's in the dual language program and she loves it. Not much is understood yet but I know that will come. PTA is ramping up to be very involved and teachers, parents and the principle are very committed to this school. Small class sizes are a HUGE benefit vs. Lakewood and Hexter schools. I'm thrilled so far.
