Pickering High School

Through out the 3 1/2 years in which my children were at this school, all they were worried about was trying to catch everything wrong that a student was doing and not worrying about their studies. my son and daughter was always being stuck in ISS for having shirts untucked or not having the right clothing. How are students supposed to learn if they're always being pulled from class for the stupid reasons.

This school needs more structure, leadership, and PRIDE. It seems like the students control the school. The administrators need to support the teachers and the teachers need to provide more discipline and guidance. The elementary school is awesome and the high school needs to operate more like the elementary. When my child went to PES, I knew what was going on all of the time. Now that my child is in junior high, I know very little. I don't expect to know everything, but I would like to know important things. The social studies fair, for example, I got very little information. There were maybe 15 participants; the elementary had over 150 participants. WHY IS IT SO DIFFERENT?!

ive been in pickering high school since my junior high years its ok but i would love to go to leesville high school because they have more sports i would like to do but im good at pickering because i mean its not that many people and all of my friends are here and i like the teachers they are cool and its not violent like people think it is we dont have fights everyday thats bull. soooo all the haters can go do something

This school is one of the best I have ever been to. Most of the teachers here care for us and our education. This year, of course, the principal has been cracking down hard on discipline, but that's because the school board is down his throat! And the reason they are down his throats is because children do not know how to behave! The parents have never disciplined their children at home, so of course they are going to act up at school! Also, the parents blame everyone bu themselves for what's happening! We get no support from most of the parents! That is the reason why our school is falling apart! Really, I think this school is great! It's got the most individuality! The students show as much spirit as they can, as do the teachers! Not once have I heard a teacher say no to offering help!
