My son also was not realizing his full potential and beginning to head down what would have been a slippery slope to life of nothing. He was able to repeat some course work, raise his average to qualify for hope. He too has great self esteem now and seems to be at peace. For the first time he is interested, has goals, and is in the great Cirque program.
This is my sophmore son's first year as a boarding student at Rabun Gap. He had attended public high school where he would study 10 mins daily and make the honor roll. He played video games constantly. He began to get into trouble and fall into bad habits. He is very bright. I know that poor decisions at this age can lead to a life of misery. We visited this school where he took an entrance test and did quite well. He was offered a partial scholarship and reluctantly was on his way. He has progressed more in 1 year at this school in his academics, social skills, and personal self-esteem than in his entire career at public school. The campus and its facilities are spectacular. Surrounded by mountains, fresh air, and a friendly, peaceful environment, this school is a safe haven for my child.

this school is horrible. I sent my child there for one semester and he didn't like it one bit. Hope ya'll can improve in this.
