I am a certified special education teacher (from another district) who is currently a stay at home mom. My three year old is enjoying his experience here. I love the services that are included in this program. All of the children have the benefit of working with a certified speech and language therapist once a week. She teaches them not only language skills, but phonological awareness skills. These are both critical for becoming a good reader. The children also benefit from a very good program called Handwriting Without Tears. This helps the children learn pre-writing skills in a fun way. This school received its accreditation which means the staff went through a rigorous evaluation process. I have found the staff to be warm and caring. CECC is a great first impression of the Coventry Public School System.
Great school, my oldest went there for 2 years, now my youngest is in year one. Awesome socialization, and they get very prepared for the structure of Kindergarten. I couldn't have asked for a better first school experience for either of my children.
