My son has done very well at this school. The teachers are wonderful. We are very, very happy with Nation's Ford.
What a disappointment. After spending nearly a year researching schools in the Charlotte area, we were convinced Nation Ford and the Fort Mill School District would be the best public school for an honor student to transfer to in the middle of a high school career. Sadly, however, we have found the administration to lack the willingness to ensure transfer high school students are placed in the right class They make no effort to deal with the individual student and review past performance. In fact, they hold fast to how they 'label' classes and are not willing to take the extra step to see how it compares to the school the student transfers from, preventing the child from achieving levels desired to prepare for a college education.
I do agree the the front office both at the entrance and guidance can use a lot of help in making you feel welcomed. Sometime they are chatting and won't stop to find out if they can be of service. Over all, IT'S A GREAT SCHOOL. The teachers are nice and my child really likes it there.
We moved here from Orange county NY, in August, just in time for School to begin. My daughter is a freshman at Nation Ford and is in the band program. We are very happy about the high standards that the school requires from the students. My daughter was amazed that she could ask a question in class and not be laughed at. The school is strict and We are very happy about it. Having come from a school that there was a fight nearly every day, drugs offered to students, constant teasing over what you wore, or whatever,this is a great change. This was a good school not in the city but in the suburbs of NY. I hope that Nation Ford remains the same as it is so thestudents can concentrate on maturing and learning, they are our future!
