One of the best residential high school in the state.Very suportive teachers that has the time and the interest to meet personally with the students, a very strong curriculum, a gifted student group and many travel abroad summer opportunities and internships. My child thrived in this school. But you have to be self motivated and willing to work hard.

Our son graduated from this excellent school this year. If your child is gifted, motivated and likes to be challenged this is the place to cometo! A challenging curriculuim with very supportive teachers, a diverse student body, availability of numerous AP/Dual credit classes, focus on learning, a vibrant social mileu though lacking some in extracurricular activities makes this magnet residential school one of the best in the state.

I had 2 children go here. It is a different experience for each. Great cultural diversity. Good security and extracurriculars since kids stay in dorms. All classes are like AP classes. Teachers really care about kids. Difficult for parents to participate in school activities since school has kids from all over the state and you may not live close. Your child must be responsible and self-motivated to go here.

The Indiana Academy is clearly the best school in the state. It allows students to live in a social, safe environment while learning to be independent. The administration is kind and willing to help out in any case; teachers have specified office times designed for students to seek help in the respective course. Courses are very challenging, and designed for the brightest of students.
