I find this school annoying and unsatisfactory in classes. Sure, it has a variety, but the teachers are ignorant and sit and do nothing while getting paid everything.

I just transferred to this school, and it is extremely easy compared to my previous school. Next year I am switching to a private school. I would recommend, if it is an option, to send your children there as well. Jamestown's teachers do not teach; they give. One must learn on their own, and some teachers are frustrated when asked questions. It really is not a great school. I am easily getting straight A's with hard courses, like intensified English and AP human.

JHS has a strong emphasis for college prep and AP classes. Teachers seem committed to ensuring student acedemic success with after school labs and stugy groups. Drama and Choir excel due to excellent department leadership.

Overall, an excellent school. Outstanding curriculum rivals that of a small college. Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) emphasize core courses. Outstanding atheletic programs - State Champs in Girls Basketball and Boys Swimming. Close to the College of William & Mary with some interaction. Great principal.
