Since this Principal took over 3 years ago great improvements have been made. With out his expert knowledge, and striving to keep fights off of school property, I don:t know where we would be. He works hard to keep educating our kids.

This is the best school ever....I loved this school so much may they be blessed along their wonderful futures....

As a current student at Washington and Lee High School, I have a first-hand experience at what occurs on a daily basis within the school system. Yes, I will admit that sports do play an exceptionally large role in the lives of the enrolled students, but this keeps them ouf of the possible trouble that would await them if they were to enter their unsatisfactory communities or households within the early to late stages of the afternoon. Our school has a reputation for being the 'dreg' of the district. Much of this is due to inadequate parenting. As many of you may witness, sporting events, typically basketball games, bring out the worst in the Westmoreland parents. I often leave these games embarassed and somewhat depressed that these parents act and represent our county in such an uncivilized and disrespectful manner.

This school needs a lot of help. There are a few teachers who really care about their students and push them to their ability, and keep the parents in touch. But overall, I am really disappointed. Sports are all that[seem to] matter and that is where all the money [seems to] goes. There are other extra curricula activities that need a great deal of help, such as the band and art departments. Music, art and theater are just as important as are the other after school clubs.
