I taught there briefly during 2008. There are a lot of improvements going on within all of Westmoreland County schools. Of course, there is always room for more improvements in the future. There are less fights than before and lots of support between the teachers and parents.

My problem with Montross Middle School is the large amount of fights and bullying that goes on in the school. Some type of classes need to be set up for the kids that are fighting and bullying. Let them attend these special classes to learn that fighting and bullying is not the answer to their problems. Also, the punishments are not the same for different children. Have a set punishment and stick to it - don't let the parents dictate how long a child gets ISS or is suspended. This school needs a major crackdown to the discipline problems and lack of respect for the teachers!

This school has been good for our daughter, however, there are many improvements that must be made. Overall satisfaction is low. Curriculum: awful Extracurricular activities: next to none Parent involvement: very few.
