Both of my children have graduated from Burris Lab School. I have known many of the students from Burris and have had professional contact with many of the past teachers. Burris is a laboratory school and as such has provided the students from Ball State University's School of Education a place to observe and work with children. The children benefit from this and also from the fact that the staff works hard to provide a family atmosphere. Although it is located on the campus of BSU, the attending students are chosen by lottery. So the student body is made up of a cross-section of the local populace. Being a public K-12 school they function as such and not on private grants etc. However, the students consistently rank among the highest achieving students in the state. They definitely could put the money to good use. I would urge you to vote for them.

I love the school, cant imagine it being any better. Provides numerous opportunities that a normal school would not.
My children loved this school. Bullying was never tolerated and teachers were always positive. We miss the school very much but had to leave due to work situations.

Thsi is a excellent school, one of the best in the area. I am extreamly pleased with Burris, not only because the chirldren are getting a great eduication, but also because Burris is like a family. Burris is a place where EVREYONE fits in, no one is mean, and everyone gets along. I never have to worrie about my son whne he goes to school becuase I know that Burris has all 'good kids'. Also, Burris give all kids the special attention that they need so that they will never feel left behind.
