new administration and down the line need to either step up tot he plate and be there for the students or get out oif the profession. I am really tired of hearing our students know more about their teacher's personal lives than they do about their studies. I hear how there is no discipline an how others can say what ever words they want to other students without the teahers even stepping in to correct the vulgar language and talk.

Seaford is going through a lot of changes in their faculty and administration. Many of the better, more experienced teachers have retired in the past few years, so many of the teachers are young or have not been teaching for very long. The teachers are not always highly qualified and are unhelpful because they don't care. This is not saying that there are not any good teachers, just that they are not as numerous as in the past. The principal is not the best man for the job and many students have very little respect for him. People seem to be giving up on Seaford High School and automatically sending their kids to other schools, instead of getting involved and helping. Seaford has good AP/Honors programs, good athletics/clubs and also a good special needs program. Seaford is just not being run well and has declined over the years.

Going into SHS and now a senior..i beleive this school has turned around a lot. I know just about everyone in the school, students, teachers, and everyone else traving around. The administration is young at the H.S. I agree but with 2 of them being from here or a while and Mr.Douglas being from Laurel has a understanding how things are run around here. As a senior, im proud to say im graduating from Seaford High School. I think it was the right choice for me. You can only make high school an awesome experince but getting out of it what you put in. In 9 months the class of 2008 will be walking out of those doors the proudest we've ever bee.

I feel very comfortable with my child attending SHS. They have made many changes over the years that I think are helpful to our children. Some people are still caught up in the old days of DuPont here in Seaford. It is time for a change and I believe Seaford is moving in the right direction. The numbers may be down, but as they say, 'Quality before Quantity.'
